The former Promoter of Halgona, Dr. Dakshina Murthy Halemane hailed from a village called 'Halgona' in Karnataka. He was a Professor in Holland University in the Mechanical Engineering Department. During his long stay at Holland, he developed a rapport with top officials of M/s NRF Radiateuren b.v. who are pioneers in manufacturer of Radiators & Cooling systems in Europe. This connection grew stronger into a business relationship. NRF agreed to set up a plant in India in Technical collaboration with Dr. Halemane..

Halgona Radiators Private Limited was born in 1986 in Jigani Industrial Area, situated in South of Bangalore.


Dutch Technology

Pioneers in Technological development of radiators of over 80 years in Europe, NRF was fully involved from the incipient stage of project report till commercial production . Design capability, Testing equipment, Machinery, tooling, jigs, fixtures were all provided by NRF. Work force at Halgona were trained,to NRF standards.

Batra's & Halgona

Shri. Amrit Lal Batra, Chairman of AL Batra Group of companies, among the top Industrialists & Philanthropists in India, who was looking for an investment opportunity in Karnataka in the late eighties, agreed to associate himself with Halgona and during 1991, Halgona became a unit of 'A L BATRA GROUP OF COMPANIES.
